A fantastically spooky children's read. I love the writing style and how from the very beginning of the book your hooked into wanting to know what happens next. Such a wonderful book.

It was so good, I forgot to add it to my read list because it has been so long! I read it in 4th grade and cried at the end! it was really sweet and amazing.

This was a childhood favorite of mine. When I came across it in the library I was so pleased that it was still as enjoyable as when I was a young girl,

I read this book as a child and have remembered loving it (and all haunted doll books) for years. My mom even says she remembers it scaring me to death as a kid. Re-reading it as an adult, though, it's mostly really sad. The circumstances surrounding the doll are super sad but the mother/daughter dynamic and their grief over Ashley's father is even sadder. Hahn is so good at making you care deeply about characters in 100 pages or so.
