What a delightful book. It’s cute and silly and little bit spooky too. Not only it left a massive smile on my face, I wanted to show it to everyone too :)
Incredible art.. so fun to explore and enjoy together with kinders!
Un livre très mignon pour les enfants en bas âge :)
Second graders enjoyed finding the ghosts on the pages and debating whether or not the protagonist was a ghost, too.
This book is adorable. Would love to find a way to bring it to storytime, but not sure how the translucent pages would translate for a large group viewing.
Such an adorable book. And the illustrations are just splendid! So many
I really enjoy Oliver Jeffers' work. He writes for kids, but there are so many little easter eggs for the adult reader to pick up on. This story is about a little girl who has been told there are ghosts in the house, but she has never seen any, as much as she tries to find them. The story takes you on a tour of the house and her efforts to locate these said ghosts. The book is put together in such a way that the initial page shows no ghosts, while the second transparent layer shows where the ghosts are located... and why the girl isn't seeing them. It is such a fun book and perfect for Halloween.
I adored the format of this. Every page has a normal illustrations, and then a hazy, partially transparent overlays that have ghost illustrations, so you can now see the ghosts frolicking on the first illustration. Love it!
