ARE WE GETTING ANOTHER BOOK?!? That is my only thought at the end of this book. I need to know what happens with Cas, Poppy & Kieran. I need closure!

This book was okay. I noticed that JLA listened to readers and toned down the stabbing comments and questions which I appreciated, but I also felt like all of the characters had the same voice which made it hard to care about the characters as individuals. This is more of a personal problem but all of the chapters were 30+ mins of reading which slowed me down a lot. I couldve powered through this a lot faster if the chapters were half the length even if that meant there were more chapters.
Spoiler The Joining happened and im conflicted. I wish we got more details in the moment, but overall I was satisfied with it. However, it kind of feels like Kieran is in love with Poppy but the feeling isn’t reciprocated. I feel like this should’ve turned into a throuple more than it did. Also Poppy seems a lot closer to Delano so i kind of felt like he should've bonded with them too.

Ive read most of JLAs works and I think what I’ve ultimately realized is they are better for bingeing once the series is complete than reading as they release, so going forward, I think that is how I will read her books.
