mostly boring and surprisingly very disappointing, unfortunately. the author's outdated (although pretty normal in her times, i assume) views on gender were not helping.
Spoileron top of everything, the fact that the girls give up their dreams to become, well, good wives, is unbearable. don't even get me started on jo and laurie not ending up together and laurie coping with this by fckn marrying her sister (!!!). yikes.
and last but not least, what a freaking sugary sunshiny cute ending scene, i couldn't read it.

Good wives is the perfect sequel to little women, I loved seeing the next chapter of the March’s lives. One of my favourite things about the book is the dynamic between Laurie and Jo,
Spoilerso it was annoying that they didn’t end up together, Laurie and Amy’s relationship felt forced as well as Jo’s.

I loved watching the sisters grow up  and have children of there own.
This book crushed my heart into a million pieces and pieced it back together again a million times.
