It was OK. It was weird how long it took for Holly Gibney to be introduced to the storyline, for me the book could've been shorter and less descriptive, but I guess that's just Stephen King's style. The end was exciting, though.

i also read this borrowed at camp so by now the plot is vague but i remember LOVING this stephen king is so fucked up (some super graphic scenes) but it got me through like 10 three hour concerts. his writing is good as always and the characters were decent (not his best in those aspects) but the PLOT was the highlight it was so creative and well executed it is safe to say i have never read a book like this before and i really really enjoyed it even though i forget most of it by now after a whole year. btw TERRIFYING.

My boyfriend convinced me to read this by forgetting to tell me it was a supernatural thriller. By the time I got to the weird shit I was too invested in the main detective to care. I'm glad I decided to read a different genre because this was very good but I stand by dislike of supernatural stuff as that was the weakest part of the book for me.

I think I'm not much of a Steven King fan. I mean, this one wasn't bad, but it was way longer than it needs to be. So many words. Anyhow, don't let this review turn you off of any of his stuff, cuz well, you know yourself better than I do.....
