This book wasn't bad, but it was repetitive as heck! It felt like the author was trying to reach a certain length and thus had to fill it with rehashing the same events two to five times. I felt like I heard about the poisoning of Mike at least five to ten times, the fact that the seeds were used was beaten to death.
The story overall was interesting, the book just could have been closer to 400 pages and told the story just as well, if not better.
Narrator Rating: 2.5 stars
The narrator was okay. They were good with elements like tonal shifts, but other elements like the consistency of speech weren't great. It was easy to get distracted as the narrator wasn't very engaging.
Graphic: Alcoholism, Child abuse, Child death, Chronic illness, Domestic abuse, Mental illness, Suicidal thoughts, Medical content, Murder, Fire/Fire injury, and Alcohol
Moderate: Animal death and Suicide

Horrifying case, but I love Ann Rule’s style of laying out all the facts.
