I appreciated learning about the history of Black women in the Women's Army Corps (WAC).  The story was written more in the style of a young adult book, even though it was about adult women.

It reminded me of being in the Corps at my University. The comradery between the women felt real and had me reminiscing. Historically, it was a good book. There were some parts of the book were the language got rough for my taste.
