This is very different from what I expected of Stephen King and I loved it!! I enjoyed the little bits of fairy tale lore laced throughout the story and the dollops of King’s world mentioned too. It was a fun story to listen to and a great twist on fairy tales in a very Stephen King way!

A book in two sections, the first in the real world, the second in the other. Both sections had me hooked for different reasons but mainly I was completely invested in the characters. King promises a fairy tale, and that's just what you get.

This book is long with too much of a build up. I’m not one for long books, but sometimes they can capture my attention. I did not experience that here, and by the time the story moved into the actual Fairy Tale portion I was mentally checked out. I’m sorry.
