This may be my favorite book of the series. Something I love about this series is the timeline, book 3 picked up hours after book two. All of the events between book 1 to book 3 take place in a reasonable time span.

This book has Dective Bobbie Gentry hunting a killer once again, but this time, she doesn't know who to trust. She receives a call from a detective she's never heard of asking her about an old case she is listed on. The problem is that the case was before her time. Why is her name in the file? Who does she trust? And what does all this have to do with Weller, the killer she is desperate to stop.

3 things I 🖤

* The quick pace, I read this in one setting
* Twists and in all the right places, I mean 😱😱
* Detail, detail, detail. I felt like I was there along side Bobbie.

3 things that were 😒
* ....nothing I loved this book!

I highly recommend this series if you are into strong female leads, bada** thriller vibes with a dose of " what the _____". I can't wait to get the book in the series.

This time around Bobbie is drawn off of her home turf and finds herself investigating a cold case where five children suddenly disappeared. This was a case where nothing turned up in the initial investigation yet all of a sudden four of the children's bodies were found and the fathers of the children are turned up dead.

Nick has decided that he is going to be too much like his father because he enjoyed killing to save Bobbie's life. Now he doesn't want her around and is on the hunt for his father. Bobbie however is not accepting this verdict.

Talk about a stunning conclusion to a great trilogy! While I do hope that Ms. Webb write more about Bobbie and Nick, I don't see how she can top this book. I highly recommend that my readers who enjoy romantic suspense pick up this series. You can't go wrong.

*** I received this book at no charge from NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions expressed within are my own.

I have really enjoyed the Shades of Death series so far and I was really excited for The Coldest Fear.

This newest installment in the Shades of Death series is a bit slow for the first half of it, but when it picks up I could not put it down for a second,

I love the main characters of Nick and Bobbie, I think their chemistry is thrilling and I cannot wait to see where they go next. The secondary characters helped bring this story come to life and kept me on my toes for most of it.

I really am trying to avoid spoilers here, but expect this to be a thrilling ride full of twists and turns.
If you enjoy a good mystery or thriller with a dash of romance, this is the series for you!

Continuing with the characters from the last book, we get a new town and new case. It was good to see Bobbie trust someone again. And for Nick to learn the truth.

Ready to read the new book in March

As with all Ms. Webb’s stories, this one is masterfully told. With such realistic scenes and true to life characters, this author has the unique ability to pull the reader so deep into the story, that you feel you’re living it and not merely just reading it.

If you like a psychological thriller that you’ll have trouble putting down,"THE COLDEST FEAR" is for you. The twists and turns keep you turning the pages and the ending is a shocker you won't see coming. Always, a go-to author for me. Highly recommend! 5 Stars
