I did like how a few aspects of Book 1 were revived in this one, making it all feel quite cyclical. However, what was the plot of this book individually? It mostly felt like filler that was needed to be added before Book 6 rather than a story in itself.

This book was so boring and every cat was so stupid that I couldn’t get invested at all. Gray Wing is usually pretty dense, but he was so frustrating in this book. Star Flower was such a baffling character, too. I couldn’t get any kind of grasp of what her characterization was supposed to be, and not because she was supposed to be mysterious, she was just poorly written and poorly voiced. The only somewhat prominent character I liked in this book was Lightning Tail because he was just a good friend doing his best and not causing any problems.
The book wasn’t bad enough to DNF, and I want to finish the series, but I was so disappointed with this one.
