I so enjoyed this entire series. The style of writing is easy to read and easy to get lost in, the characters are well developed, and the storyline itself keeps you on your toes. Usually, in my experience, the second and third books in a series are just trying to drag along a success recipe that is gleaned from Book 1.
I highly recommend this entire series.

Urban Fantasy / Horror

So, it didn't tell me in the book that this was Book #3 of a trilogy and I picked it up at the library because it looked interesting.

I was very confused at the beginning, but the author actually did a pretty good job re-introducing the characters. I felt there was some lack of character building, but this most definitely happened in the previous novels that I did not read.

Despite not reading the previous two books, I really really wish I had. There were moments of this book that I entered a reading-trance and just wanted to keep reading. Shame I spoiled the ending - maybe I'll revisit the trilogy later on and read it properly - I would've liked to see how he introduced the characters and fantastical bits of the book.
