Another good thriller set in England. Flawed forensic psychologist Cat Lupo, in her quest to delve into the minds of child psychopaths/sociopaths and hopefully prevent future violence, finds herself dealing with another possible candidate in the form of her husband's child from a short affair, who arrives one night.

This involves trying to save not only her reputation, her child, and her job, but solving the mystery of the death of the mother of the new kid, Ruby. As I said, Cat is very flawed, and she made a crucial mistake on a former patient recommendation, plus she's got a sociopathic husband which she never recognized. So she makes lots of mistakes at critical times, and you begin to wonder how she will end up.

Was really enjoying the first half of this book, then it just got quite silly and hard to follow in the second half. 2.5 stars for me.

This was good reading material. I really enjoyed it , couldn't even put it down before I had finished it.
The suspense and the mystery throughout this book is perfectly dosed, it gripps you and you just want to read more.
I found it to be very well written, it was rather dark at moments which is what I enjoy and it made this book the perfect Sunday read.
The characters were well developed and made you feel like you knew them personally.
I'd definitely recommend this book.
