A solid installment to the series. I love Pip & Ravi. Certain parts of this book felt overly melodramatic which took me out of it slightly. The ending came out of left field(!) and I didn't love it. This book didn't have the same emotional impact on me as the first book in this series.

This was a crazy read compared to AGGGTM. Still just as good, but had a lot more turns + twists that I just wasn’t prepared for or expecting. I would have put a 5 star rating, but don’t let that fool you…I literally only put 4.75 because the beginning of the book felt slow for me. But as I continued reading, it truly picked up + made me question everything.

The first few chapters of this book was slow and tbh I thought it was all going to be a transcript of the trial, but then things happened, and things got interesting and then the pace started to quicken.
From page 200 until completion I could not put the book down. I was completely immersed in the story.
Once again similar to agggtm my thoughts of who and why changed the more I read, and once again I did not guess who the culprit was or why.

i will not be leaving a public review for this book or any of holly jackson’s books (if i decide to finish this series), as she works with an israeli publisher & hired an israeli actress for her show adaptation of aggtm. for more information: https://x.com/paedynsgf/status/1825836303684087823?s=46&t=9OvIYdlyuT0qXkMrWFaSaA

to anyone i know who has read these books and liked them: please don’t feel as though i am shaming you. this is purely a personal choice on my end. this information is not widely known, so please do not feel ashamed.

Good Girl, Bad Blood effectively builds on the foundation established in its predecessor, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder, offering a satisfying continuation of Pip's story. The blend of mystery, emotional resonance, and character exploration creates a well-rounded narrative that keeps readers engaged from start to finish.

The book also tackles important themes such as the influence of social media, the impact of trauma, and the complexities of friendship, making it not only a thrilling mystery but also a thoughtful reflection on contemporary issues. For readers who appreciate a mix of suspense and character-driven storytelling, this book is a worthwhile read. Overall, it's a powerful sequel that leaves readers eager for more from Holly Jackson.
