This book is a little wild. The magical realism and religious undertones make for a wonderful combination. Honestly, I feel like if I go into too much detail I might spoil something, as there is a part of me still unsure about what I read- in the best way possible.

This book is truly unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. It was a little slow and confusing at first but it picks up quickly and leaves you with the pieces of a much larger mystery. This will be a classic one day.

blazed through in one sitting. So weird. Quite tender at times. It should have felt slow but swept me along.

Stick with it through the first 50 pages when you don’t know what’s going on, but the payoff is worth it!! This book stayed with me long after I’d finished it.
