A decent and solid Star Wars story. I enjoyed reading it. It's kept me engaged in The New Jedi Order series and I am looking forward to continuing the series.

I just finished rereading Star Wars – The New Jedi Order: Onslaught. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve read this book several times in the past, but it definitely brings a warmth in the heart. I really like the way Stackpole writes and makes me feel at home. I really like the way he approaches the main characters and makes the reader feel connected with the Solo brothers.
It is worth saying that, despite being a small book, a lot happens! Several scenes and several adventures and all equally important. Stackpole has always known how to balance and tell the narrative in an agile way. I’m already getting ready to reread the sequel, Dark Tide II: Ruin.

This book makes me remember what I didn't like about the Rogue Squadron books: the parts about the RS are boring! The parts with the main original trilogy characters and the Solo family, as well as the background exploration of the Yuuzhan Vong are really interesting and exciting, foreshadowing a lot that is to come, but seriously the rogue squadron stuff is a yawn!
