Such a cute dysfunctional family story for the holidays. I know a few mins I could see breaking like this.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a review copy. I just loved this Christmas short story by Chandler Baker. It was so dead on accurate about all the work that Moms do to make Christmas magical for the whole family, while subsequently being over looked. The mystery and intrigue, and interrogation type writing style all added to the effect for me. Definitely recommend this for your TBRs.

This was a cute little Christmas story. I meant to get to this before the holidays were over, but I just managed to get to it. This was a cute story about the magic of Christmas and all the things mother's do to make that magic feel real. In return, moms just want some recognition of their hard work. That is all. Again, very cute short story.

Oh, what a fun read about the magic of Christmas. This festive short story is about a holiday family gathering, traditions, and the one person responsible for making all that 'magic' happen. It's a bit 'madcappy' but, then again, what family Christmas isn't.

This is a very quick read and I gave it 4 stars because I really want to hear more from this family.

A fun little story from Chandler Baker about a woman who goes a little crazy when her family takes her for granted. The entire Clauster family is in town for Christmas, from middle sister Channing's twin girls to eldest brother Tyler's boyfriend Angel. Mom has gone all out this year and instead of preparing Tyler's favorite King Ranch casserole, she bought everyone Disney on Ice tickets. Everyone has a wonderful time until they realize at a pivotal moment that...Mom is missing!

This is a short little romp and every mom who spends the majority of the holiday season stressed out while everyone else has a magical time will see themselves a little in Claire. Claire makes all the food the love, she makes sure the house is decorated, she probably does the bulk of the Christmas shopping and wrapping (while Dad gets to be the one they like better because he actually has time to play games with the kids), and all she wants this year is for them to nominate her so she can get picked to meet her favorite daytime talkshow host. And did they? Well, I guess you'll have to read to find out!

*I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Well this is a short review for a short story.

This was a cute short. It was easy to relate to as my family is a bit over the top. Though I have to say I didn't see the storyline playing out the way that it did. It was a cute seasonal read that I think a lot of us can relate to. Sometimes we take each other for granted and become involved with what important to us and loose sight of others. This was a little reminder to slow down.

In short:
Did I like it? For a short story yes.
Would I recommend it? Yeah, why not.
Would I read more by the author? ...... I have read something else already by this author and wasn't a fan so IDk. Verdict is out on that.
