I’m liking this series a lot so far. The sibling bonding and self discovery has been great. It definitely has some instalove romance happening but I appreciate that it’s recognized by the characters in the stories. This resolution to drama at the end was a little brief but I loved the epilogue.

  | I wasn’t too sure about these two when it started out, but they quickly won me over!  Emotional and moving, the journey for both of these characters highlighted the pain they had overcome. There is a moment, a group hug, near the end, that nearly did me in!

I’m so pleased I can give books a quarter of a star on the app. It doesn’t even deserve that but it feels like an extra middle finger to make me feel better about the bamboozling that went on here.

Do you know that girl on TikTok who makes the really cringe videos about the insufferable leads in indie movies and stuff like that? That’s what this is. What in the actual hell did I read. It feels like Tessa was trying to make these characters seems so profound and it ended up being the most cringe thing I’ve ever read and I’ve read some really really cringe stuff. It’s like that Debbie Ryan meme with the weird face and the putting her hair behind her ear. I actually low-key want to stop reading altogether I hated this book so much. You know what no, it’s not even the book that I hated, it’s the characters. The characters can catch these hands. But the book sucked too

This one was so hard to follow. The character development wasn't strong and It didn't feel like the reader could connect with the characters. The title made no sense to the plot of the book other than being in the woods.
