This was a pretty decent thriller on audio! A quick listen with twists and turns, some of which I saw coming, others of which surprised me.

I loved the dynamic between Hope and Lindsay—they both get decent development over the course of the story and I was definitely rooting for them (though that ending does have me worried for their future...). I felt less attached to the detective Ellie because she didn't get as much attention in the story—but after finishing I learned that she is a character from a different book series by this author! She was more in this book as a fun Easter egg, so then it made more sense why she felt flat in this story.

The plot, as I said, had a lot of twists and turns. I guessed the main villain but I still enjoyed the reveal, and there were other things throughout that surprised me. The narrator did a great job and I listened to it in about two days because I didn't want to put it down.

Thanks so much to Libro.fm, Harper Audio, and the author for my ALC!

Find Me by Alafair Burke (#4 in 2022)

When Hope Miller goes missing, her best friend, Lindsay, does everything in her power to find information related to the disappearance. But as Lindsay makes an effort to uncover the mystery of what happened to Hope, she also uncovers secrets and dangers that should otherwise be left hidden.

I haven't read an Alafair Burke book in a while, but I remember really liking The Better Sister.

This one was intriguing and mysterious, but not too heavy. It made for a good audiobook for driving to and from work and kept me entertained. I enjoyed Lindsay's investigation into Hope's disappearance as well as the extra information she uncovered. I wouldn't say it was the best mystery I've ever read, but I don't really have anything bad to say about it. It's an easy three stars

Thank you Libro.fm for an advance copy of this book!
There was a lot going on with this that I was not expecting. We went from a missing person case to suddenly there is abuse of minors while at a camp?  Even though at times it felt a bit choppy and I was confused on who the people were, I was still intrigued and wanted to finish.

A woman was pulled from a vehicle accident 15 years ago with no memory of her life prior. She becomes best friends with the woman who pulled her from the vehicle. She changes her name to Hope and starts a new life. She ran away to try to start over again when she disappeared. Her best friend knew that she wouldn't just do that. It is also mentioned that they had a relationship and even kissed but once that came about, it wasn't brought up again?  A dead body was found and Hope is the prime suspect.

Everyone is connected in some way and it takes us from the East Coast to the Midwest.  This was not a bad story but just not my favorite.
