Himbro gives us the best of both worlds: a sweet, lovable himbo rolled into a stepbrother romance. Oh, wait, and there’s fake dating, too. And a sexual awakening. It’s the trope trifecta. It’s the dream.

Devon — nerdy, insecure, smart — gets dumped by his loser boyfriend days before he has to go to a destination wedding. Which his other, earlier loser ex will also be attending. Jesse, the sweetest himbo to ever be slightly oblivious but totally gorgeous, will not let this nightmare happen, so he decides to come along. You know, to protect his stepbrother. One encounter with said douchecanoe, and now they’re fake dating, as no one has met Jesse before. As shenanigans ensue, it becomes clear that these two have more than brotherly feelings between them.

This was such a great short read (162 pages). It was funny and sweet and steamy, and exactly what I wanted. Jesse was so amazing and protective, and so clearly in love with Devon in his own oblivious way. And Devon was a hilarious and relatable sweetheart. Definitely recommend.

Hilarious, Sweet, & Smexy

Literally lol hilarious. Found myself cracking up over and over again with witty, sharp humor and wonderful rich characters.

Jesse & Devon are polar opposites with a lifetime of love and connection between them that makes their coming together (pun intended) all the more satisfying. Lightly taboo, but heavily hilarious- this is a must read. Five stars for wonderful writing and a quick smexy rom-com vibe tale.

This was such a fun and sweet story that I read it in one sitting! When Devon is dumped by his pretentious boyfriend, his stepbrother, Jesse, steps in to accompany him to his best friends' wedding in Maui so he doesn't have to face another of his exes alone. When they arrive, they end up as fake boyfriends until the real feelings start to grow. This was just a real low-angst, taboo fake boyfriend, step-brother, joke/nerd romance and I loved it from beginning to end.

"You deserve to be with someone who adores you, who makes you feel like you've been struck by fucking lightning."

This is my first book by author Honey London and I still can't get over how sweet it was! I was all prepared for this angsty forbidden stepbrother romance so color me surprised when it turns out I was way off the money. Jesse and Devon were just too cute together. and HOT, but more on that later. First things first, if you're waffling on the fact that this is a stepbrother romance be warned that this is not shied away from at all. In fact, Jesse even calls Devon baby brother during the few times they are in flagrante. You picking up what I'm throwing down? Smoking what I'm growing? Good.

"My brother's smile was my favorite fucking weakness."

I absolutely loved how close these two were. Jesse is this fun loving himbo gym bro who seems to wear crocs wherever he goes, while Devon is a twinkie nerd who needs reminders to have fun once in a while. Complete opposites really, but there isn't anything one wouldn't do for the other. That includes Jesse pretending to be Devon's boyfriend at a destination wedding in order to keep his slimy ex off Devon's back. Of course we know how this trope always turns out, but it almost seemed inevitable regardless. Jesse is the person who's always been there for Devon. The man who's never let him down. He holds him when he's upset. It breaks his heart to see Devon cry over all these idiot men who don't deserve him.

"There were about a billion people who'd be a better match for Devon than I ever would. People who were smarter than I was, who had more potential than I did, who would be just as successful as my amazing brother.

But not a single fucking one of them would ever love him more than I did."

This story may have been a bit of a slow burn, but once the steam started it was damn good. Jesse has a dirty dirty mouth. And Devon isn't as innocent as he appears. The ending is lovely and happy just like the majority of the book. I'll be keeping an eye out on future books from this new to me author.

Himbro for the win. This was so sickly sweet but perfection in its sweetness. This was my first read from this author but I will definitely check out more

I'm loving that we get to start this new series off with a familiar face! Clark is an intriguing character and is just what Hunter needs! I also love that Clark's grandma is an active force in the story as well as meeting Hunter's somewhat formidable mother. Toby, Hunter's son is equally adorable and steals several scenes.

This book features Hunter's sexual awakening, Clark's acceptance that he's worthy and the sweet and spicy story that we've come to expect from DJ Jamison. You don't need to have read the Games We Play series to start Rules We Break, but it was a fabulous series and I recommend starting with it to meet some of the side-character couples - especially Kevin from Seven Minutes in Kevin who is Hunter's brother.
