Loved it!

I enjoyed book 1 of this series, and I was excited to read book 2! Quinn and Arie have such a cute love story. Quinn has been crushing on Arie for years. When he wants to fake a relationship so other girls won’t ask him on dates and he can focus on his basketball game, she agrees. Arie is quickly able to see that quiet Quinn is funny and kind. I love how their relationship is comfortable and full of chemistry.
The scene at the basketball game when Arie looks for her. So cute! Of course they have a misunderstanding, but to be followed by a sweet HEA. I enjoyed getting to know Quinn and Arie! I’m looking forward to Cruz and Avery’s story!

This was a really cute best friend’s brother/ fake relationship story, very safe and clearly YA. The storyline was entertaining and had a bit of high school drama but not too much. I liked the dynamic between Arie and Quinn, they were good together. This was a cute story and I enjoyed reading it.

How long can you be in love with your besties brother? Years apparently
This book was a really sweet YA read. it has a few of the YA tropes besties brother/ fake dating/ miscommunication.
An easy sweet read

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5 stars)
This book releases January 6, 2022!

Reader’s Notes:

– this is told from both Quinn and Arie’s points of view

– this is book 2 of a series, it is not required to read book one to understand this, but it is definitely more enjoyable if you do!

Review:

This series just keeps getting better! I loved the ice skating, Princess Bride, stars scenes! But all of it was awesome! I loved Quinn and Arie together, they were so sweet with one another

I debated

Overall it's a cute story but one as someone who is beyond over the clichéd blonde heroine it seriously irritates me when there's a brunette on the cover so you feel safe from repetition only to learn the cover's a feint and it's another of the endless stories about blondes. I think I could write a a book level piece myself on just how over the clichéd blonde leading lady I am and matching her with tall dark and handsome shows an entire lack of originality from the author.

Parts of this were good but one if felt like scenes were missing, two they never once tell the reader who spread the story about them breaking up, they never address their insecurities or that moment in the gym or the game. There's all these unaddressed lose ends that bothered me. There are outside relationships introduced and never dealt with and just a lot of outside of kissing scenes that lose their worth when they're left ad lose ends.

Overall it's not a bad story, but it's more in the realm of okay when it had the potential to be great if time had been taken to shore up the lose ends

The first thing that comes to me is 'That book was so funny' and 'Arie is such an amazing guy'. The characterization of each and every character was perfectly written. The story was really good too. I was so excited to read Quinn and Arie’s story when they were introduced in The Boy I Love To Hate. I love to read about unrequited love. And I was rooting for Quinn from the last book in this series. I liked how it was really comforting to read in the holidays.

Quinn is a wallflower who has the biggest crush on Arie, her best friend, Avery’s twin brother. Quinn is casted as Cinderella in the Winter Play Event which she had auditioned to direct. Being a wallflower, it is difficult for her to be in the spotlight.

Arie, a senior, twin to Avery, is the Captain of the school's basketball team. He has a secret and he also needs a fake girlfriend to keep all the girls away from to him so that he can concentrate in his game.

Arie agrees to be her dating- coach if she becomes his fake-girlfriend.

No swearing. C and W Level- 1 Romance

I bet everything that we are going to see Avery and Cruz's story next. I would be happy just to get a book though.

I got an ARC!!
This is my honest review.
