This collection from Aaron Smith captures a quick and strange mind on the page. His poems move effortlessly between subjects, pivoting in a line with a reference to pop or literary culture. The longing, vulnerability and pathos revealed in his writing are tempered with humour, directness, and sharp satire and build a personal portrait of pain, grief and identity.
