I wanted to like this book. Don’t get me wrong me wrong there are good aspects but altogether i didn’t enjoy it. It felt repetitive in a sense.

"Cherry" is a semi-autobiographical work, drawing inspiration from the author's life. The book follows an unnamed army veteran struggling with PTSD, leading him into a world of heroin addiction and bank robbery a reflection of Nico's own experiences. While technically categorized as fiction, I found the author's true story fascinating.
However, I was disappointed with the presentation. I'm not too interested by the army storyline, so the middle of the book was boring. The first and last quarters were great!

Yet another book I had no business buying but thought the cover was cool enough and bought it anyway only to later find out that I am definitely not the target audience for it.
This book wasn't bad overall, it was very interesting to see things through the point of view of a person struggling with chemical dependence. With that being said, I would definitely have enjoyed it a whole lot more if contemporary novels about war/crime were my thing.

I hated this book so much. The main character hates women and himself. I couldn’t finish it.
