This was Natalie’s love story and it did NOT disappoint. I love how true to herself this heroine is and even through her doubts she stays insanely strong. I loved this book so much and it’s my favorite of the series so far (okay ok I’ve only read the two, but still).

Garrett the love interest was such a complex character and the author insured his journey had good pacing. I always hate when issues are resolved with no depth or reality. This had enough reality to keep it interesting but obviously ended in a satisfying and meaningful way.

I’m so enjoying reading this author and the books just keep getting better and better!!

"I have you to thank for a great deal, my love. You believed in me, when i didn't believe in myself. You were so brave. You fought me. You fought for me."

I received this ARC for an honest review. This is the 1st book ever i've read from Annabelle Anders. I'm so glad for receiving this ARC because now i find another great author. This book is the 2nd one on the series. After this i'm gonna read the 1st one, mark my words!

Review:
Great story for this one. Although the plot is quite predictable at one point, it keeps me reading to prove if i'm right. I was a bit annoyed for the heroine, Lady Natalie, at first. She seems like a spoiled lady. But as the story goes, i find that she is a naive and brave lady who actually cares deeply for her dearest people happiness. She is a great match for the hero, Garrett, Earl Of Hawthorne.

Garrett, for his stubbornness, believed that he can not marry well and have children of his own because his late father's conditions. He is very protective to Natalie and wants the best for her. He convinced he is not the best person for her. He tries to turn down Natalie's approach but of course the latter also doesn't want to give up easily.

Overall the story deserve a 4 star rating. The story is light, warm, and makes me tear up in a few scenes.

This was the first book of Annabelle Anders' that I have read, but it most definitely will not be the last! How much did I love it? I highlighted probably half the book! For real, I was laughing, crying, and swooning the entire time I read, refusing to even put the book down to eat. I loved this book so much I plan to read book one this weekend and then read this book all over again!
A Lady's Prerogative has so many of my favorite things. First, a determined young woman that doesn't want to be forced into a loveless marriage. She broke off her engagement in book one, accepting that there would be consequences, because she believed them to be worth the price of her happiness! When a handsome rake, (a friend of her brother's and business acquaintance to her father) attends an extended gathering at her family's home, sparks fly. Is he really a rake, or just a man who's been hurt so badly he's hardened his heart to love?
The push and pull between these two was exquisite. Their banter was lively, often times humorous, and always heart-felt. Beyond the fantastic chemistry between this couple, I particularly loved the attention paid to the plot surrounding Lord Hawthorne's heritage, especially given that his father had been quite mad towards the end of his life.
Five bright, shiny stars from this reader! If I could give it more, I would! Lady Spencer and Lord Hawthorne offered each other the freedom to make choices, which is the most perfect kind of love in my book!

I think the perfect quote to sum up this book is the following:
"It's just the irony of the situation is, in truth, rather magnificent. You have what I want, and I have what you want. In order for either of us to obtain what we want, we must sacrifice some of what we already have."

I received a copy of this book for free in exchange for my honest review!

I love a good historical romance novel, and Annabelle Anders gave me just that with this book! I haven't read the first in the series, but I certainly will be soon - and I loved all of the future books hinted at in this one!

There were a few loose ends I wanted filled in more, but overall the love story was so fun and the heat was HOT. Natalie is fun and relatable, while Garrett is everything I like in a hero: tall, dark, and broody. Plus, there's an adorable puppy. What's not to love?
