Fury Frayed is a quick, entertaining, and a really fun read! I highly recommend it if you love urban fantasy, mythological influence, and a dose of fun YA tropes.

I loved this book. Megan doesn't understand her constant anger and need to fight everyone and the her mom ditches her in some strange town. I loved Elaina, she was sweet and exactly the friend Meghan needs. Watching Megan learn about supernatural beings and that she is one too was interesting. I can't wait for book 2.

Fury Frayed is an appropriate title for this book, since the main character Megan definitely has anger issues. She struggles to fit in at the academy where she is taken even though it’s full of supernaturals like her. And of course she has to deal with normal teenage issues too, like cute boys and mean girls. I really liked Megan and the other characters - they were my favourite part of the book. The plot and writing were good as well. The book ends on a cliffhanger just as a warning, but it definitely made me want to read the next book.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I forgot I read these until I logged back onto my kindle today!!

I’ve not rated a book 2⭐️ before but I enjoyed them. It introduced me to like a tiny bit of smut and it got my mind off of some bad things that were happening in my life at the time. However I wouldn’t buy the books and I got the first book in the series for free

4.5 stars — Dude, this book was fun! It was exactly what I was looking for — something that I could immediately connect with that wouldn’t require a huge investment. I can’t wait to read more in the series!

I was worried how I would take Megan, what with all the anger… But she made it work for her somehow. Like, she was DELIGHTFULLY snarky, and her flares of temper really became both a part of her, but also not what completely defined her. I think you could tell from the start that there was something not natural about them, so I rolled with it. And in the end she made me laugh with her violent reactions, just because of her attitude and stuff! I also really appreciated what we ended up learning about her and her abilities, it was so unique and interesting!

And OMG, I adored her best friend Eliana! I loved the way they connected with one another as both being outsiders to this supernatural world, having human instincts and all that shiznit. I really appreciated how they balanced each other, and how they truly wanted to help the other out. It was nice to have such a prominent friend relationship in the book.

I loved the way the mystery played out. I appreciated that there were a lot of nuances to what the final outcome ended up being, and it shed some interesting light on what it’s like in Uttira.

Fenris confuses the heck out of me! While I find him to be utterly delightful and boyish and charming, I can’t help but wonder what his deal is! I hope we find that out!

Oanen was…just fantastic. I loved his quiet persistence, his respect for Megan’s boundaries, but OMG did he make me swoon with some of his lines. He is definitely the kind of hero I can get behind.

So yeah! Lots of fun new creatures, some I only knew the names of! I can’t wait to learn more about all of them, and how they all fit together. I love it when a book just matches with exactly what you’re needing at the time…

I absolutely loved the story. I just flew through it in few hours and I loved every page of it.

Megan gets in fight a lot, she gets very angry and just… has to fight. :) After she was suspended in school for yet another fight, she and her mother move in the middle of nowhere. Next day she is up to huge surprise, not only is she living there alone, there the town is little bit different and there is a reason she is there.

I love all the mythology and all the magical creature, it’s so fun to read how so many different creatures live together. (I wish that the book was longer, so there would be more interaction with other).

I love the friendships and romance, of course, it so sweet. :) Perfect mixture of magical school, creatures & action. :)

Highly recommend it to anyone who loves urban fantasy.

Great start

Liked this a lot. It's a sweet romance with not even a kiss between and H/Hr but lots of sexual tension.
