Forbidden faith covers a vast general history of sometimes loosely related gnostic currents. It takes a slow detour in the middle to topics that hardly relate to gnosticism before picking back up in the latter quarter. The author states some hot takes with no sources which makes me doubt the authenticity of his expertise (such as claiming the virgin birth of Jesus was retroactively added to the gospels hundreds of years later). Though I feel that, taken with a grain of salt, this is a good general first step into gnosticism.
