not as good as the first one. felt repetitive in the writing which esp sucked for the spicy scenes. probably will still read the last one just to finish off the series ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I read this for the Angels & Demons bingo square. Had I not been doing that, I would have DNF'd. I did not enjoy this. It didn't hold my interest. The characters felt like they lacked depth. They claimed love, but they have no personalities to love. It was all lust.

Also, for her being a succubus demon, I expected the smut to be better. Very subpar.

First thing I want to say is that if you don’t like your books spicy, this is not the series for you. That said, holy cow, this delivers in that area, but it still retains the emotional side of Giselle and Lucas. I don’t want to say anything that spoils it for future readers, but I loved getting to know Giselle’s siblings. I think they really help round out her character. I also think getting to see more of the other angels was necessary to drive home just how serious the transgressions are on both the part of Giselle and of Lucas. Personally, Tyson may be my favorite new character. Overall, the story ended the only way it could. I look forward to seeing how everything plays out for all of the characters involved.

I have to say: this book is different from the first one. Where the first one was all about exploration between Giselle and Lucas. This one is all about confirmation about what is between those two.

The first one was proper fire but this one got my heart. What I can say? I’m a sucker for romantic stories.

We don’t have much spicy scenes but even those one, they were related about how they felt for each other, it was much more deeper (see what I did here?

I was about to be BIG mad at that ending. But it concluded nicely. The cliffy wasn't as bad as book one. Fooled me!!

Look, Lucas had A LOT of making up to do, and when I say he fully surpassed his behavior from book one, he sure the hell did

In a sharp twist away from who our fine (and I do mean fine) feathered friend was in the first book, in this action and tension packed sequel, our resident nearly fallen angel is determined to win back his sexy demon flavored lady love. Unfortunately for him, Giselle has other plans (or at least, that's what she tells herself).

I love Giselle with everything in me. Sharp, badass, and armed with a romantic heart of gold, she's everything I could ever want in a main character. There's also something to be said for relationships in which the woman has far more experience than the man, throwing another wrench into their odd power dynamic. The additional characters in this installment with Giselle's siblings and Lucas' unwelcome protégé give some added perspective and excitement to a story we thought we knew the answer to already. It also helps add a bit of depth to the world that was starting to feel a bit like an empty Hollywood stock set. Some further callbacks to the first book later in this one help even more with that.

I do wish the world and the characters had been fleshed out a bit more from their plot, especially since we were given more characters to follow along with in the sequel. My high fantasy loving mind has so many questions about the way everything works, from their powers to the species to the overall history of it all. However, for the purposes of this very smexy story, we know absolutely everything we need to and it does just fine without it.

This book was fun, hot and left me ready for the third one when it comes out in late spring next year.
