Great audiobook! Excellent job on the voices for each character - very easy to tell the difference.
Angela, the matriarch, has requested her family to vacation together. Her family used to stay at a resort when her son was younger. This son who has an ex-wife, two children, a current wife and a baby.
Also invited - a chef, to provide the meals. But the family knows her - except the ex-wife.

Some very good twists. Enjoyable. Great read! A solid read.

Wow! This was a remarkable story!! This locked in story is an engrossing and chilling tale that takes readers on a thrilling journey, into the lives of a family who find themselves trapped in a remote lodge during a snowstorm. As the snow piles up outside, tensions rise within the cabin, leading to a shocking discovery of a missing family member, possibly injured or even murdered.

Sue Watson masterfully weaves a web of suspense, keeping readers on the edge of their seats as they try to unravel the mysteries surrounding the family's predicament. The isolated setting adds to the claustrophobic atmosphere, intensifying the feeling of being trapped alongside the characters.

The characters themselves are well-developed, each with their own secrets and motives.

The plot twists and turns, keeps readers guessing until the very end. Watson's ability to create a sense of unease and suspicion among the characters is commendable, making it difficult to trust anyone.

This book was hard to put down, I recommend this book immensely.

Woah! That was one crazy ride! This is the first book by this author for me but I will for sure pick up more! I love a good thriller where at some point in the book you go.."wait...am I the crazy one?". This one delivered that!

Thank you to NetGalley & the Publisher for my ARC!

When you have to explain the entire resolution to the story in the epilogue, you’ve done something wrong.

It reminds me about when you need a narrator in a play for a musical, or even an improvised musical, you’ve done something wrong. same vibe!

This was a weird story, because almost everyone who did something wrong was not punished. And people who didn’t do anything wrong did get punished. During the story, I appreciate the author keeping us guessing about who we should root for, and who we should trust.

But then, after very little character development during the story, suddenly in the epilogue, we find out who the killer was. And they just wasn’t enough character development for us to find that worthy ending.

The characters were completely unlikable. I wanted nothing to do with them, and maybe that was the intention so that you really feel how terrible it is to be stuck in a lodge with these jerks.

I will definitely try another book by this author because I think if it didn’t have such awful characters, I might’ve liked it more.
