This book was far from what I expected having seen the film adaptation of it, but it was a much better storyline with more background and build up to the finale which was again nothing like the movie. Some of the the techno jargon was a bit confusing and some of the ideas now seem out-dated but this isn't surprising since it was written in the 1950's. Overall an enjoyable read

You know when you hear about an author or a book a lot and you're unsure if it can really be as good as the decades of hype say? This is one that stands up to that. Mostly I actually cannot believe this book is SEVENTY YEARS OLD. I can barely imagine the next hour of my life, and here Asimov imagines a future and technology far behind his own.

Even if you're not into sci-fi or robots, it's definitely worth a read for the ethics and philosophy that runs through.

There are a lot of interesting concepts about robots and AI here, but I can't help but feel like the whole thing would have been a lot more interesting if the robots had been the POV characters.

Like dr Calvin said I saw it coming when the first robots couldn’t talk.
I loveeedd this book. Pleasantly surprised it was nothing like the movie. Dk why tho this would’ve been a banger who cares about wtf the movie was about
