Took too long for the story line to pick up and then the ending was too abrupt.

A raw and unflinching story with the most unlikely heroines. Hard to digest because of the grit, but we'll written.

The book was okay. First half or so was hard to get through but the second half I couldn't put down.

No redeemable characters here. I ended up wondering if the author grew up or has a  background of rural and low-income, because if not, the whole thing seems a bit to "poverty porn".

I need to write a real review of this, suffice to say it was amazing and almost perfect. The prose was incredible and I found myself highlighting passages constantly.

I'm really into fiction about teenage girls, especially those that are less than perfect. This book felt grimy and while it did feel like something was missing, overall it was a good story

i understand the point of the book, believe me i do, but it was so incredibly depressing and full of horrible people and events that i just didn't care about the point anymore. the characters were both irritating and badly written. the premise is sort of misleading because i don't think i'd sort this into the YA category? anyway, the writing style was alright. and it was short, but should've been even shorter.

I need some time to think through this one.
