Remender's still dishing out some character-driven drama, but it still shocks me how Craig's art and Boyd's coloring breathe life into this comic. Marcus can be an angsty drama queen at times, characters can make some frustrating decisions (that could easily be solved with communication), select actions are starting to not have real consequences, and some times I grow tired of writing choices for the sake of shock value, but dang, Craig has some insanely clever layouts and Boyd's coloring is so purposeful and stylistic.

More spectacularly graphic killing at the assassin school, along with some weird sex cult stuff.

One of my favourite storylines of this series, but for the first time there was a page where I could not figure out what on earth order it was meant to be read in?? I’ve gone back and I still do not know.

It’s beautifully illustrated though, I love the art work in this series.

I liked it but i am tired of Marcus' bullshit, drama and cynism.

There is a lot of crazy action and deaths in this volume. It is interesting to see how this series continues to twist and turn, changing from volume to volume. It is not always the easiest to remember what has previously happened, but the breadth of characters and the bizarre scenarios more than make up for that.

A good volume in a great series from Rick Remender. I’m glad that the action has picked up again, and now we’re seeing some major ramifications from Petras murder with helmet and her cult family attacking the cabin party. Maria and Marcus will always be a toxic combination in my eyes and I hope that Saya gets some form of forgiveness from here peers in later issues. Actually sad to see Viktor go as well as despite how much of an arsehole he was, he was always fun to read, but it’s great in a way that Willies death has been finally avenged. Love the art as usual and always appreciate the great dialogue between characters, excited to see where the series goes next.

I have really liked this series, and I did like this volume, but something about it didn't quite lock in for me. Maybe the novelty of the concept is wearing off? Maybe it wasn't the right book for me right now? I'm not sure either of those explanations is the full answer. The climax felt over-the-top and not fully justified.

I just flipped back through and noticed details that I missed or forgot. And I realize the problem is that I usually read at night until I'm tired so I don't absorb everything... hmmm what to do about that...
But here's a new gripe: there's a moment where the creators make a big deal about a fortune that Marcus receives from a fortune telling machine at a fair. But it's never mentioned again. Is this just another detail I missed? I couldn't find it flipping through the book. Or is it going to come up in the next volume?

I thought this might be the last installment while I was reading it but it looks like it is actually setting up another ark for the characters as adults.
