Soms voelde scènes als te veel, alsof er niet gedurfd werd om te schrappen of misschien niet werd gedurfd om te stoppen. Hierdoor voelde het alsof alles evenveel gewicht droeg, wat er weer voor zorgde dat het boek langer aanvoelde dan dat het was. Dit heb ik niet zo zeer op een slechte manier ervaren, maar maakte de leeservaring van tijd tot tijd wat trekkend.
