Very cute!! Not like a super duper layered book or anything, but especially in the last chapter or two it was definitely pretty emotional.

The falling for Mari from Alice's side happened quite fast but the relationship is still rather slow so that was nice. The school functions in quite a basic way, too, so it's less of a school fantasy romance and more of just a fantasy romance that's in a school.

I heavily enjoyed the characters, though, and the mean girls I found pretty realistic and not csrtoonishly evil like is typical in a lot of books, even ones set in schools. I also like how, the characters weren't super OP. Sometimes in highschool magic books you'll have 13-year-old Timmy who could kill a middle-aged man with the power of friendship but everyone had skills and drawbacks and the students were clearly amateurs and even seemingly OP abilities
(like Mari's)
has drawbacks
such as her being terrible at totally basic magic
.

It isn't the best manga ever by any means, but it's fun and sweet and magicky and easy and I will 100% continue the series!!

3.5 rounded up

This was a pretty solid introduction. It looks like a really short series (only three, thin volumes), but it looks like it will be an interesting story. And I have been desperatly looking for some f/f representation in manga that isn't super oversexualized or just poorly concealed abuse. And so far A Witch's Love at the End of the World seems like its going to have a really sweet, genuine romance (fingers-crossed). The artwork is really good, the characters are great, and the concept seems cool. I'm very interested to see where this goes
