I loved this book! I loved each and everything about it. The characters were written so that you grew attached to them and felt their stories.J The food was amazing. I could close my eyes and taste the food along with the story. The character of Elena was so real to me, I know how she couldn't let anyone in too close, because I was like that for years. Amazing book! Bravo Ms. O'Neal!

This book took me by surprise. I did not expect the story to take the route that it did but I enjoyed it. My one complaint is that the cover art does not represent the dog accurately 😉

Good recipes, good characters. Too much sex. Sigh.

Flat characters, kind of boring, didn't really care about it. Gave up

This is just a wonderful book. It was long for the genre but it never, for even ONE page, felt too long, I wish it had been longer! The main characters were well drawn, although I would have liked some of the secondary characters to be more fleshed out. The main character is a chef and food plays an important part in the story. Just loved it!

The cover is very chick lit like (which I don't personally have an issue with) but the contents are a lot deeper than the average chick lit and I was very surprised by the book. I read it completely on whim (I was playing around with downloading to my Kindle from the public library) but ended up becomign very engrossed in the characters and their lives. Of course I am also a sucker for books centering around food and cooking, so I enjoyed that aspect as well. Delicious recipes are also included!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would look forward to picking it up when I had to put it down for some reason. One thing I didn't like is that there isn't a sequel or an epilogue that gives more information about what happens next. I think I will have to try some of the recipes from the book as well. They sounded very yummy and not too difficult to make...famous last words. :) The book left me with a good feeling. I might have to remember this as a recommendation for book group at some point.

It has been a long time since I've cried and was as moved as I was because of a book. This was such a great mix of healing, love and spirituality.

I officially have another favorite author!

Chef Elena gets the offer of a lifetime - being an executive chef and opening her own restaurant in Aspen, CO. The offer comes with benefits she didn't expect - namely the hot restaurant owner/movie director that she immediately forms a connection with..but will she get over the trauma of a horrible car crash she was in decades ago? Starring ghosts, a loveable dog and mouth-watering foods...the eight-hour car trip today seemed to take only four.
