Started off as an interesting look at a mature woman dealing with death and a lack of romance in her marriage. Then it started to go downhill by the end it was more like an old woman reading her journal/dairy as a recording. BORING!!!!

I feel like have the same problem with this book as I had with "Fear of Flying".
I like the whole idea. It's funny. At times and but mostly I don't connect with it.

I'm in my late 20's and reading about someone in their late 60's, telling a story about being afraid of dying but still wanting to have sex and nothing to change. I didn't mind it and I read the book pretty fast but it's nothing that will stick with me.
Also I thought that Isodora would be the main character in this one, and even though she's in it, it's not written from her point of view which kind of annoyed me in the beginning. I wouldn't say that I like Isodora but I kind of got used to her in "Fear of Flying".

By no means a bad book but just okay for me.

Not my go to type of book but was a decent read. The main character is very quirky and relatable. Had some sad sincere moments as well as some fun moments. The ending was beautiful.

Erica Jong can guide me through any season of life anytime.

Edit: I listened to this as an audiobook recently and found I related to it a lot more this time around.

Moments of profundity but otherwise a mess. Rambling, disjointed and tedious.
