WOW, the varying perspectives in this were equally horrifying and disturbingly fascinating. The storytelling in this was very unique. Overall 3.75 ⭐️ read for this dark thriller.

Fast Passed Thriller, that kept me guessing the whole way. I loved the change of narrators throughout the book. I loved reliving the scenes through different sets of eyes. If you’re looking for something quick, dark, and not too obvious, this is the perfect thriller.

Picked this up on recommendation from the podcast Currently Reading. Wow. Packs a punch. I positively devoured it. The prose was straightforward, don't know if that's a feature of the author or the translation. It seemed to fit with the various voices, and stand in contrast to all of the twists and turns that were going along plot-wise. I loved the layered revelations that kept coming each time a new voice was added. Just a twisted gut punch of a novel with some interesting things to say on family, revenge and the minds of children. 4.5 stars, rounded up.

Oh this ate down- super twisty and the final plot twist???? Oh I was aghast. Moriguchi I will be thinking about you for the rest of my life. Really interesting characters and the story pacing and plotting was really, really well done. Prose was a little simple at points but I don't think that's the authors fault but the translators.
