a strange read for me. I had the assumption that Peter was just a happy kid wanting a happy time but he is really a disturbed child whose age complex will drive him to do unfair things.
it is good to know the real Peter Pan now and I only knock off a few stars because I don't think the grand fight with Hook was particularly interesting and it dragged for a while.

Aside from the stereotypes and biases and prejudices and bullying, this was a very fun read. Of course knew the story already, but I did not expect Barrie to be so witty in his writing.

It was lighthearted and fun. Although ***SPOILER ALERT*** for some reason I had it in my head that Peter Pan came to the real world, grew up and married Wendy, and I was disappointed when Wendy married somebody else and Peter was still hanging out with her great granddaughter at the end. Did I think this because of the movie "Hook"? No idea...

Graham read this aloud. I haven’t read the full version of Peter Pan, but I liked this abridgment. It was engaging and fun, without being mind numbing to read. Evie thought it was great fun and is excited to see the play next month!

I'm reading this aloud to Tim, who's never read it. Trina's illustrations are perfect.
