Interesting ghost novel for middle schoolers. Children's horror is a tough genre, and the author approached the topic in an interesting way.
Didn't feel fully realized; I thought there was a strange lack of urgency with the ghost situation, for example. Though I understand this book is for people 10+ years younger than me, so I can forgive a lot of these shortcomings (especially its occasional heavy-handedness, which is suitable for a young audience).
I think the main character is relatable for readers her age. I found her charmingly cringey (reminds me of my middle school days LOL) and therefore perfect for her age group!

Not bad for a children's horror story but there was very little of the ghost actually in it. It was more a story about researching the American Nazi Bund.
Moderate: Bullying, Physical abuse, Violence, Child death, and Emotional abuse
Minor: Antisemitism

Great, fun, slightly creepy read, with some actual history thrown in.
