Now i've read this book multiple times in my life, but during my most recent read through I have seen many writing flaws in this book. The pacing is terrible and jesus didn't have much character development (which is essential for a main character). Now my next point isn't a problem with the book but with it's adaptations. Why is jesus so white washed? For a man born in the middle east he sure is pale in most movies.

All in all would have rated it higher if they left out levitcus, psalms and abraham.

Wow! what can i say about this? truly insightful, so many twists and turns. i’m a big fan of fantasy books, and this was my first historical fiction and this one is pretty good. my favourite part was when jesus got betrayed! it was truly gripping and really characterises how you should never trust a man of any kind. although it was a bit of a crazy turn when he wasn’t found in his tomb and he can back alive! i really wasn’t expecting it, although there is so much lore to catch up on and often times it is confusing. some extracts have such good life lessons like “don’t trust men” and “be gay do whatever you want” to name a couple. can’t wait for part 2

Meh. The action was ok I guess but mostly pointless, plot was pretty much nonexistent, and that god dude was a total jerk. Also had a lot of strange grammatical errors. I hear the sequel is supposed to be better but no release date has been given.

The sky daddy original story wasn’t worth the wait.

Jesus dies in the end.

There are two completly diferent Storys!!

The main characters personality changes completly: in the first book he´s definitly a moraly grey charakter (killing people for their own opinions!!) but in the second one God is just randomly described as a good guy, even though he is he completly bastard who does not give a fuck about his own son!

But I loved the Gay romance between Jesus and Judas. It was really well developed und has a really sad and shocking twist towards the end.

i have nothing to say (i mean i could go on some horrendously god awful rant about the bible but i won’t) except for that i just started using letterboxd again and found my old account in which apparently, as a junior in high school i rated the bible one star. i’m laughing so hard rn
