Not my favorite Kinsey story; however, it did have a few interesting moments.

As the series goes on the plot gets more and more twisted and the issues the characters are dealing with are more and more complicated.

E is for Evidence is the 5th book/case in the Kinsey Millhone (Alphabet Series) by Sue Grafton.
There’s nothing like doing the job you're hired to do and simultaneously being framed for what you typically investigate. E for Evidence really ends with a bang!
In this case; While working on a routine insurance claim for the fire that took place a few days prior at Wood/Warren - the FMC, Kinsey, has the unfortunate realization that she is being set up. An anonymous $5,000.00 has been deposited into her bank account, files are missing with incriminating documents in their place, Wood/Warren Family drama is plentiful, and people from her past are back in the present. This was an easy but fast paced read with a lot to digest!
*Also, A+ to Lt. Dolan for telling Kinsey to zip her lips and to keep the anonymous $5,000.00!
“You can’t argue with people who fall in love with death.”

I'm continuing to enjoy this series and the characters Grafton has created. Although, not a novella, it is a rather short novel yet packs a punch as private detective Millhone is a target, suspected of arson and embezzlement. To add to her problems her exhusband comes back into her life. Might she be lonely enough over the Christmas holidays to invite him back in? Lot's to stew over in this one and really quite enjoyable.

These are such fun, easy reads. Really enjoying blowing through them and living in Kinsey's world.

The only Kinsey Millhone mystery I did not enjoy. Maybe I should give it another shot....

This series is fun and quick. I figured it was who it was pretty early actually but I had no idea about the why. It was snuck in there at the end
