Pasha, the female lead, is under a curse. Her grandmother protected her with wards and spells and she has continued to maintain them such that her fated mate cannot find her because she has obligations that she must fulfil. Ahman, the male lead, met Pasha when she was too young but has only been able to find her in dreams since, much to his frustration. When he does track her down as a byproduct of his job, he is frustrated and incensed by her lack of willingness to commit to their bond, yet respectful of her strength and persistence.

This story is female lead POV, well written, and full of the twists and turns I’ve come to expect from this author.

Absolutely loved this fast-paced spicy read. I hope we get to see more of Pasha and Ahman in the Everenne book verse. I enjoyed seeing a mating where the mates were a bit more equal too!
