VERY slowly. It didn't really pick up until about halfway through, and only for a short time. The ending was anticlimactic.

When a group of people go to a vacation house for the weekend, they never dream that it could unravel their lives.

This book kept me interested in the plot, but wasn’t anything special. I found it semi-predictable and a little heavy on the concept of “family”. The ending also dragged on a little long.

I liked Henry’s story arc the best, which was only a small portion of the whole thing.

This was an incredibly quick read for me. The plot was very engaging. It was fast paced and kept you interested. Overall good.

However, there were points where it kind of lost its grip on me. Purely because the author would forget what was happening it felt like. A character suddenly was not holding something they had been, or was wearing something totally different. And the over use of some words threw me. For example, svelte and akimbo (which I saw so frequently that I needed to look up their meanings).

This was pretty solid. It moved quickly, but I didn't get super connected to it. Maybe too many POVs?

This was my first attempt at a thriller, I only picked it for the cover tbh. I’d suggest skipping it.

The first third was somewhat interesting, but then it derailed for me. There are too many characters and povs, some of which seemed to have been thrown in unnecessarily. I also really don’t like to read about stalkers so it got a bit triggering for me. I looked up how it ends and it wouldn’t have been worth it to keep reading.

It also really felt like it was going to have a ‘childhood trauma and mental illness makes you homicidal or a stalker’ Kind of take, as the two antagonists seemed to be the only characters in the entire book with mental illness issues (besides Hannah’s mom, who was also just a shitty person). This came out last year. We’re done with that trope. That should never have been a trope to begin with.

Thankfully I got this for free at a little free library so I didn’t waste my money.

This book was just BAD. The idea of what this book was going to be sounded so interesting to me, stuck due to a storm with someone maybe out to get them....yeah no the storm was maybe in about an hour of this book. Just skip it, the characters are so annoying. Maybe I liked Hannah's main character, but that was about it.

also, the cabin owner has cameras everywhere in the house and no one is ever found them but his maid makes NO SENSE. I also don't understand how the whole DNA thing would have caused all this, just seemed like an easy way to connect all the characters. Lastly, the tree "blocking" the road was definitely moved to easily to make it so that someone could help them.
