Great short story!

Contains: human prostitute, vampire feeding, kidnapping and feelings.

Love the story, the main line, always wondering the why and who. Remove 1 star because it was ok. But I would have love to see the main caracters beat down the bastard who is the reason that led the human to prostitute himself

Epilogue is incomplete because they should've used Shelley's deadbeat ex and his brother as the required human sacrifice to turn Laurie into a vampire.
*Laughs evilly in Spanish*

While the overall premise is fine—I do love me a fucked up Pretty Woman situation—the execution was subpar.

After reading the other books in the series, it’s very obvious that the author can only write in one voice. Victor’s voice is almost identical to Nate and Arik. Why is a 200yo vampire caring about Firefly? Or using the word bonked? Maybe if there was an in-universe reason to handwave it, but Victor doesn’t strike me as the type.

At this point I’m exhausted from the same old voice, so while I managed to finish the book, I’m dropping the author.
