A very interesting, if brief, review of 5 of America's earliest serial killers. Of the five cases featured in this book, I had only heard of one; H.H. Holmes, who I suspect many readers will have heard of. Otherwise these were new, fascinating stories for me. The ineptitude of law enforcement, the skillful evading of the law and the absolute brutality of these crimes was staggering.

A quick read; I finished it in one day. Recommend.

Short easy book, read it in about an hour. Got it for free on Amazon kindle, and is cheap normally. 4 of the 5 stories I had never heard of and the final one he kind of skipped the arrest, oh well...interesting read, well laid out, just don't pay much for it
