The first 2/3 of this book definitely stores a lot of great advices surrounding mentality, goals and self image. You might have heard or read what the author brings up before, but it doesn't take away from the fact that if you follow the tips, you will be a greater person. There's no denying that big chunks of this book is very well written and stores a lot of truth.

The last 1/3 of this book is long and clogged with advice that, at least for me, didn't really give that much value. Religion is also mentioned a fair amount in this book which, again, in my opinion, does nothing but take away from the solid points the author lays down.

As a side note, I wish I didn't read the preface in this book. In short, the books get's so hyped up that you expect to have your life changed after your done reading.

The core message of the book is interesting, to have a goal in mind so that your success mechanism can work you towards it, however, much of the book feels dated. It does feel like the first motivational book of its kind, and I can see how The Secret took this idea and gave it a horrible new-age spin. The stuff that put me off were the constant religious references used to prove points and some of the material seemed a little sexist, such as examples that used scornful wives and women who lose attractiveness because all they do is work and so they have 'no use' for looks. The core idea is good, so I'd just recommend watching a summary video of the book on YouTube.

Before there was a mega-million dollar self-help economy, there was Maxwell.

Simple, straightforward techniques that still work more than 50 years later.

I read Psycho-Cybernetics because my son recommended it.  This book will teach you how powerful your mind really is. A few days into reading it, I began to experience synchronicities that I couldn’t dismiss as mere coincidence. It’s a must read if you want to learn practical ways to create a better life for yourself.

This book really makes you think, and opens your eyes to new possibilities. It is extremely motivating. I have no doubt that this book will be one that stays with me and that i will revisit in the future
