Wow. What an emotional read. I read this in 3 days and couldn’t put it down. The main character truly takes you with her while she recovers from a traumatic incident throughout her years of highschool. She makes you feel her emotions. I would recommend to anyone but major trigger warning for SA.

Wow wow wow. Incredible read. Amber's writing had me instantly connected with every character that she introduced. I haven't cried from reading a book in a good year and this did it for me.

how graphic the book was in describing trauma in its first few pages (which continued throughout the book) felt unnecessary and could be incredibly triggering for many readers. those who could otherwise identify with or even benefit the book might be put off by how graphic and violent the imagery is. however, edy’s descent as a result of her trauma was compelling and i could imagine it being even more so for teen readers.

This book is one that I think that everyone should read! It’s a very real reality for a lot of people and it does a really great job showing the way that some people choose to cope with their trauma.

I’m eagerly awaiting the next one.
