If you’re looking for a book that will draw you in and transport you to another world, look no further! The world building, imagination, and creativity of this book is quite impressive and it reminded me of when I first started the Harry Potter series. However, I do wish it was a bit more fast-paced as the suspense was lacking at points. If you’re looking for a book you can sink your teeth into, this is it!

bit of a slow start w/ heavy world building but got really good around the 30% mark. i was expecting a dark academia fantasy but this is actually more of a supernatural murder mystery (one of the rare instances that i’m happy to be wrong). lost a few points in the end because the final chapters got a bit ridiculous but i will still defo be reading the sequel
