In my last review on Slammed, the prequel to this book, I mentioned how I read half that same night. Yes, that is true and then I finished it this morning. I read this whole book in just two roughly 2 1/2 hour sessions. I absolutely adored how we got to see Will's perspective this time. Something I love about Hoover's writing is that sometimes she will let us see into the mind of the other love interest. She doesn't do that in Slammed, so I was excited to get it for a whole book during Point of Retreat.
I rated this 4.5/5 stars only because I got angry a few times at the cliffhangers.

I understand that we needed some conflict in their relationship, but I absolutely HATED Vaughn showing up at dinner. It felt so invasive on her part and I get that that is just her character, but I was so pissed. I was also SUPER annoyed with Lake for the first part of her being angry. I knew she was going to get angry and leave at first, but it just felt like it continued for sooo long and that she was being a baby about it. I also kind of liked that at the same time though because I feel that it showed that she really isn't an adult and she is still immature like a kid because she is still young. I think that she still is young and immature because she was stripped of that.
