Review 22. Star Trek Deep Space Nine #8 Antimatter by John Vornholt.

I will admit that I have not read many Deep Space Nine books (mostly because I don't own very many).

But this is one has now become one of my favourites.

Set very early on in the history of the show, Bajor has been contracted to build a new ship for Starfleet and it is nearing completion. All it needs is the fuel (antimatter) to power it.

Of course, this wouldn't be a Star Trek book if something didn't happen to do with the fuel supply being delivered and it's up to Commander Benjamin Sisko and his crew to sort it out.

As someone who particularly likes the technology of Star Trek and its ships, I loved the way that the Bajorans constructed the starship in this book.

I think this book would have made a fantastic 2 part episode of the series.

I will definitely be rereading this book in the future.

Not at all a fan of Jadzia’s characterization, but Sisko, Kira, and Odo were okay. If it wasn’t a ds9 book, I’d give it a 2/5
