For anyone who does not like reading books with animals harmed in them.. Not one, but two cats are murdered in this one :(

This has somewhat dragged down my opinion of the book.. I did enjoy the characters of Sookie, Bill and Sam.. I was upset about one of the other characters being killed off early on the book.. Normally books tend to kill off only the unknown or unlikable characters.. Not so in this one.. But the story was good enough that I would like to read more.. Just not right away ;)

Cute and easy to read. The only problem I had was that Sookie seemed to fall in love a little too quickly.

It’s so fun to read something written before all protagonists developed Same Narrative Voice Syndrome. Suspenseful, sexy, and not taking itself too seriously is the perfect formula for a vampire book to me. Book-accurate adaptation starring Sabrina Carpenter when???

Traditional vampires mixed with the human world. Loved how the vampires are out in the open, makes everything a little more exciting.

I was not expecting to like this book. I haven't been into Anne Rice or anything fluffy since high school, but I gave it a shot. It's pretty funny. I appreciate that Ms.Harris can laugh at the idea while writing it.
