While at times wordy, Kilmari once again drew us into Magic's world. I will say - this is not for the faint of heart. The cliffhanger got me even though I expect them at this point.

Was it as bad as book 2? No.
Is the MC still the least enjoyable of the main characters? Yes.

It’s still poorly written. There’s so many editing blunders and inconsistencies, that imagine my surprise when I learned the author owns an editing business.
That’s some real ‘cobbler with barefoot kids’ bullshit.
